As soon as we arrived, we discovered that this exquisite residence belonged to Mary’s grandmother. Exploring the premises, we were captivated by the beautiful natural light and stunning water views, recognizing the endless possibilities for photography. Capturing Mary’s bridal details and hanging her exquisite dress by the window elicited a sense of utmost emotional connection. Assisted by her bridesmaids and mother, she effortlessly slipped into her dress as if it were tailored specifically for her and for this special moment.

On Alex’s side, a sense of serenity and composure prevailed. Sharing light-hearted moments with his closest friends was exactly what he needed to ease into the most significant day of his life. Getting ready to meet the love of his life took precedence. The anticipation of seeing his soon-to-be bride for the first time consumed his thoughts. Taking a few extra moments to perfect his bow-tie, adjust his cufflinks, and straighten his boutonniere, Alex prepared to meet Mary for their first look at the waterfront.

As Mary approached Alex from behind, it was impossible not to notice the sheer beauty of the location. When Alex turned around, his face lit up upon seeing Mary for the first time. They embraced, kissed, and shared a brief dance, fully engulfed in the excitement of that initial glimpse. Their portraits unfolded seamlessly, as they made our task effortless. Mary was a stunning bride, her dress billowing in the wind like that of a supermodel on a fashion shoot. Amidst numerous intimate moments, they even shared a toast to kick off the day. Our shutters clicked as we captured the afternoon on 120 film with our vintage Pentax, immortalizing the moments in a timeless manner. As the ceremony approached, they walked hand in hand towards the house to commence the festivities.

As family and friends began to arrive, they were awestruck by the breathtaking water view. The sun was shining, the waves crashing, and the warm autumn weather set an absolutely perfect scene. Everyone remarked on the unparalleled beauty of this location for a wedding ceremony as they eagerly awaited the guests of honor. As Alex was escorted down the aisle by his parents, he exuded sheer excitement. Taking his place at the top of the aisle, he smiled for a quick photo before we cleared the aisle, ensuring an unobstructed view of his best friend.
As guests rose to their feet, it was time for the bride to make her entrance. Mary walked arm-in-arm with her parents down the aisle, her focus solely on Alex. Their eyes met as they exchanged smiles, taking in the sight of familiar faces gathered for the ceremony. The water provided an incredible backdrop for their images; the blue complemented Mary’s dress, while Alex’s tuxedo stood out strikingly. After exchanging their vows, sealed with a kiss, they proceeded to the tent to kick off the festivities.

The tent was adorned with exquisite beach-themed details – the flowers complemented the table settings beautifully, and the use of shells as card holders added a delightful touch of coastal charm. As guests settled in, it was evident that everyone was eagerly anticipating the celebration for the delightful couple. The band struck up the music, and the festivities commenced. Amidst candlelight and the serene backdrop of the Long Island Sound, family and friends watched as the couple shared their first dance. Heartfelt toasts honored Mary and Alex, paving the way for the band to get the guests on their feet, dancing the night away. However, the pinnacle of the evening arrived when our groom surprised us all – Alex picked up a guitar and treated everyone to a heartfelt performance. Serenading his beautiful bride on their wedding night created a truly romantic moment. As Alex finished his set, swooning guests watched the couple spend the rest of the night celebrating beneath the deep blue night sky.
